Serbia makes a curious space for seesaws and plants on wheels, Greece builds an ark to carry their old seeds to new cultures.
Serbia's Seesaw Play-grow "extends an invitation to you and us, the timeless seesawers." A lovely little playground ...
In the Greek Pavilion's Old Seeds for New Cultures, a land-locked ark is built to showcase the biodiversity of Greece's plant-seeding materials, while presenting a kitchen, herbs, spices, books and resources suggesting a space for communal exchange. Within the ark is a commentary on the food crisis, unsustainable farming practices and the monopoly in the circulation of seed controls. But it's also reflects on the capacity of seeds to store Greece's heritage, culture and memories.
