You've already got a road, but now you need to add some public transportation. A train doesn't fit, so what do you do? Turn the train into a tunnel, of course.

The straddling bus project, designed by Shenzhen Hashi Future Parking Equipment Co. is a 16-foot public transport vehicle that is two road lanes wide, drives above cars and has a hollow underbelly so that other vehicles can pass underneath. - DoTheGreenThing.com

Brilliant concept.
It's a stupid idea.
It sends a message that private cars are so important that even buses need to get off the road.
There are also other issues like accessibility, existing bridges, turning radius etc.
Much better to implement BRT.
So much for fancy renderings of stupid ideas...
It seems like a fairly workable solution to sharing limited right-of-way space.
Crazy expensive, perhaps, but workable. I think it's cool.
The car accidents this would cause alone makes this the worst idea ever.
i think this could also work as apartment idea.
like;
"is that your house or my house coming in five minutes?"
eliminating the need for rapid transportation at once...
just don't turn left... seems like one of ideas that came whilst looking down the end of a bottle of booze. Seems like fun to develop it nonetheless
