.......im trying to dig into this mysterious as well most debated science of anicent architecture and want to produce as a thesis report on where i can intergate the basic five elements of earth (air,fire,water,soil,sky) which interact into our livinghood every single day. with the help of astrological knowledge and mathematices (fibonacci no,magic square,golden section) and vedic philosophy vastu science.
pls help me and suggest me if this choice will trun out to be bad as it sounds very offbeat freakish and werid from architectural thesis point of view????

this is amazing topic to research. You can first read a book called Vitruvius 10 books on architecture if you still are doubtful. It will clear your doubts

It's a fine topic. It's still used as a guide in some parts of the world. For example, in India it's somewhat engrained in their psyche and referred to a bit. I also worked on a project in Mexico (Mexican client who is a self-proclaimed Buddhist) that wanted us to incorporate some of the vastu ideas.

Vastu Shastra is an ancient architecture and engineering field which relates building design to local climate, magnetic direction, rotation of the earth and "Pancha Bhootas" (or five elements of nature - earth (prithvi), water (jal), fire (agni), air (vaayu), and space ) . Vastu principles specify that a house or building can have negative energy or bad energy starting from the location where it is built , to the direction of the building. We can't apply principles in India to Australia etc. I have applied some of the most important Vastu principles in India to buildings in USA, North America.

Yup, rightly said NS. Vastu Shastra, very similar to Feng Shui was something useful and logical in ancient times while considering wind direction, natural light etc, but in modern times has little to no value. It is a tool of superstition and false beliefs. That said, there are some useful things to glean from it...
