I love the part in the video where she is flying around with a huge tin foil headpiece shaped like an airplane and is holding a propeller in her mouth while still singing.

There's a rabbit hole if you listen to this. It's really mostly used as background music, but it is so relaxing.

New music from Turnover! More pop-y than their previous work but still very sweet & good.

Man, I got to see Future Islands last night. They were awesome, their music is great, but their live performance was incredible. So, been listening to them, again. Beirut is back in rotation, wish they'd come to town, love their music.
Currently LHF - Minds on Charge on repeat. @Chris, definitely more so than 'Bitches Brew'.
Just saw Thundercat, other week. Man that was some bass...nice little trio.

Saw Future Islands a few weeks ago when they were in town, awesome show, as expected. Got me thinking about another band I love, Wild Beasts, hoping they'd come around soon, but they just announced their break-up over the weekend. Something about not wanting to fizzle out... That brought me 'round to Mark Kozelek, and Sun Kil Moon. New album this year, hadn't heard it... Started to listen, and, it's, uh... Impossibly awful, really awful. Sometimes I have to wonder if a band/artist does this on purpose, because I know I would at some point in my musical career if I had one. For any fans of The Arcade Fire, who actually believes their latest album isn't just some kind of setup for some kind of later revelation in their sound/style/politics? Really digging Memory Tapes, Tycho, and The Clientele these days.
What (newish) music are you listening to these days?
Although not exactly new, yesterday I was jamming Balkan Beat Box for 8 hours of autocad.
amazing. Almost two hours worth to support a sustained focus.
When it's been one of those weeks, nothing else will do.
a few I always find myself returning to
The Knife
Rush
Pacific UV
Fall of Troy
Atmosphere
RJD2
new ones I like
The Knocks
Felix Jaehn
The Magician
Run the Jewels
latest TLC album
Thanks to Urban Dance Squad got into Living Colour (again)
This is my husband's go-to karayoke song!
Pinegrove's Audiotree session is one of the best live performances I've ever seen. Damn good music!
And now for something completely different:
Jethro who?
PROOOOOOOG!
Yes indeed :)
