Model includes many 1/2'' thick walls/floors, would plaster or rockite be a better option? Planning on using alpha core and printed PLA molds for formwork. Any tips for less cracking within the model, and sealing?

Last time I looked, stone was rock. Poured materials are not "stone" or much of a surrogate. The instructor who assigned this to students must be a real asshat. "Stone" they say? Take 1/2" marble floor tiles and get them water jet cut into the shapes you need. That would be stone.
