true that...I just didn't realize the trend of standing in the middle of the room, staring blankly at your flat screen had spread past my family room. Probably ought to buy blinds.

this seems to be showing a built out finishing surface on the interior of masonry walls. but that's not really a standard convention, just my guess based on how this is used. the drawing is a bit clumsy and overworked, seems like a student drawing of someone else's design, maybe an analysis of a case study.

It's Utzon's Can Lis house. Probably the drawing shows the cavity between the inner and outer sandstone wall.
