There are many universities in the NYC area (public and private) and most of them offer Master programs. In your opinion which ones are good, and which others are not too good? why?
So far I've found:
Columbia
Cooper Union
Pratt
Parsons
CUNY
Unsure if there are other schools with a Master in Architecture program.
If you studied in any of these, it would be nice to listen to your experience.

You pretty much listed them in order there. Which is the order they have been since their respective inceptions.
Those are also the only ones which offered accredited architecture degrees, so you can stop looking.
Cooper union only offers MArch II so it's not all that useful.
The top three all have name recognition and therefore subsequent connections to be made. In terms of preparing one for the workforce, despite being 'out there' with the way things look, Pratt consistently ranks highly amongst (local) employers. The M.Arch program is definitely riding the tails of the undergrad, but it gets grads hired. CUNY isn't all that much cheaper and won't get you hired as quickly as the top three. Parsons honestly is expensive and not worth it, but it's easy to get into. All 5 of these M.Arch programs are cash cows for other programs and visa mills for foreigners so be ready for that.
At the end of the day any program is worth only what you put into it. Obviously Columbia will open the most doors simply because it's an ivy but it also costs the most and will be most difficult to get individual attention in studio. Word is the curriculum isn't much good at preparing one for practice either so getting hired is more about applying to places where owners value (have) ivy degrees.

Go to G-Crap if you want to be indoctrinated into the use of grasshopper and spend 200k doing so; go to Cooper Union if you want to truly learn about space about architecture rather than some how to be "en vogue". Trust me- yes- G-Crap will be impressive on your resume, but cooper union will make any reviewer think about how competitive it was for you to get into that school...
