Needed reference for my Urban design proposal. Demolition of built structures and redevelopment.

Hi everyone. Am Venkat. Student of architecture, here in my 9th semester working on urban design. After my study over a city for urban study, i wanted to propose a Public square in the junction of 5 roads. But for this proposal i would be needed to demolish the structures that comes within my proposal area. Even though I will anyway create a big commercial complex in my design and will accommodate the commercial buildings which i happened to demolish, I am in need of good references for such cases. Good successful project references to justify my design.
