“Waiting” is the problem, wait for what? Figure out what stopped it, fix it, and then make it go again..…failing that, sell more….never wait.

you get busy - fast - ask others if they need any help - people who don't have anything to do usually get laid off

Try to sharpen my skills (Lynda, YouTube, ect) or work on personal projects, research, and interests - sketching or modeling. Go through past projects and think about what I could have done to improve efficiency.
The thing I hated most about work was feeling like I had to pretend to be busy!!!!!! But sometimes I had to resign to that.

@SpatialSojourner, this is typ. alwayz my number 1 got to, accept i dont want to be accused of using company time for personal education.

I can't believe no one has said archinect news and forums!
Look for mistakes and fix them to make sure stuff is near-perfect.

Not that I have much downtime, but when I do, I research building science (specifically envelopes) both for my own edification, and for my co-workers.
Practice bulletins (AIA etc) are super boring but can be very informative, too.
