Planning a move to Pittsburgh from NYC (for family reasons), but I know next to nothing about the architecture scene there. Will be seeking a position as a licensed architect with about 5 years experience. Looking for somewhere with a decent design portfolio, a professional culture, and good work-life balance (is this asking too much? ;)). Just trying to get an idea of what to expect (availability of jobs, competitiveness, salary range, etc.) and definitely need a list of some firms to check out.
Thanks and please reply if you have some ideas!

^Beautiful work
I interviewed with Eric Fisher a few years back and seriously considered working for him. He's a great guy.
My aunt works at Strada! She has been very happy there.

Hey Lou Con - any luck with your search in Pittsburgh? I'm looking to do the same move very soon.
