ACADEMY ABOVE THE CLOUDS

This observation tower building is a part of Academy Above The Clouds complex
designed by West Line Studio.
The tower is located on the highest peak of the academy site. Building ground on the hill rises as high as 56 meters above the complex. With tower elevation of 24 meters it sums up to 80 meters high observation point.
Tower features six circular plan floors with four 360° view decks. Each floor is 340m².
With outdoor spaces building area totals up to 2500m².
Every view deck is designated for different function, with private VIP floor, Tea lounge floor, open air bar. The top level floor is a rotating restaurant giving a picturesque vista of academy town and mountainous surroundings.
The building site was chosen where the former low quality building is being demolished, thus saving resources for excavation and transportation of the ground and reducing the footprint of human activity.
The building will become an important feature of the surrounding area because of its visibility. Therefore the quality of the details and materials should not be compromised.
