Mike Choi is an urban designer and architect based in Chicago. He has interdisciplinary educational backgrounds and experiences in urban design, architecture, interior design as well as furniture design. He received his Master of Architecture in Urban Design degree from Harvard University, and Bachelor of Architecture degree with Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Rhode Island School of Design. He has competed on award winning teams in international design competitions and been published for various works.


His interests focus on diverse scale-form of spatial design. He has been trained to exercise in urban data visualization, coordination of master planning in various types and scales, and a wide range of the design process. He moves beyond the analysis of effects and outcomes and reaches back to understand orchestrated moves by agencies and social problems happens in cities. He is currently working as Technical Designer / Urban Designer at Gensler, where he mainly participates in a variety of architecture and master planning projects.
