Floating Formations

Floating Formations

Floating Formations is a series of photomontages that explore the creation of new images made from one or more original photos (taken with a digital camera) of the known world. Most of these photos were taken of various landscapes, and in some cases specific objects. Once the photos were taken they were placed into a computer where they were isolated, manipulated, and in most cases multiplied into several layers. The layers were joined together creating a composite that forms a new whole. The final images are isolated within a neutral white surrounding, which gives them the illusion of floating. The conceptual intent is to create surreal images that have never been seen before, and that refer to the ideas in physics that relate to multi universes and multi dimensions.
