Katarina Kushin earned her Bachelors degree in Architecture from the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 2017. She served as President in 2016 and ASI ENV Senator in 2014 within the Environmental Design College Council. Katarina enriched her architectural education abroad in Florence, Italy (2015) for an academic year and returned to complete her showcased senior project. She graduated Cum Laude in the Tau Sigma Delta Honors Society and received the Soriano Travel Scholarship and Koeper Thesis Prize.
Katarina has interned with Los Angeles based architecture firm Hsu McCullough in 2015 and with MIA: Machine Inspired Art Gallery in 2014. Seasonally, she also works with video productions for the Los Angeles County Fair working as a production assistant and in editor for TV commercials and promotional videos. Katarina has worked on multiple theater productions as both a physical and digital set designer over the past couple of years. Recently, she has worked as a production designer for short films and continues to enhance her skills through the art department in the film industry.
As she continues to pursue her passion for evocative built environments and visual experiences, Katarina is eager to pursue a career as a film production designer.
