About

Whether it's a late night in studio or an early morning in the workforce, this 21 year old always brings her positive energy and creativity. She developed her tireless work ethic at renowned schools Clemson University and Columbia University. At the start of Summer 2017, she established a senior internship position with Skanska Koch in Brooklyn, New York. Kerianne's love for urban development and sustainable leadership has steered her to study in cities such as Barcelona and Chicago. Currently, she seeks to finish her final year of undergraduate architecture school and continue her education to receive her March.

Kerianne is currently seeking a full time, part time, or intern position at an architecture firm that can support completion of AXP credit hours. She hopes to gain some professional experience before applying to graduate school in Fall 2018.

The Bachelor of Arts in Architecture at Clemson has successfully prepared me for subsequent professional education by providing a sound general education, focused design studies, complementary support courses, and the requirement to study in an off campus location. The School of Architecture emphasizes the relationship of buildings to the rest of the environment: built, natural, and cultural.
The courses I have completed include:
- Structures I & II
- Architectural Foundations I & II
- Introduction to Urban Contexts
- Environment, Energy and Society
- History of Modern Architecture

BAC Barcelona Architecture Center, Barcelona, ES, BArch, Barcelona

Among European cities, Barcelona is known for its unique city plan, wonderful urban spaces, and rich architectural tradition. The city is a living urban and architectural laboratory. Historic landmark buildings by Gaudî punctuate the 19th century city fabric, while a wealth of buildings from the Modernist period and acclaimed contemporary work make the city a design capital of the world.

I chose to study abroad in Barcelona, Spain because of its richness in art, architecture and culture. Courses I enrolled in included:
- Architectural Studio: Barcelona
- Building Technologies Design Seminar
- Entry Level Spanish/Catalan
- Field Studies (included architectural field trips to Madrid, Amsterdam and Rotterdam)

Columbia University, New York, NY, US, Intro to Architecture

Introduction to Architecture is a summer program giving university credit with the purpose of familiarizing students of all skill levels with different aspects of design, history and theory and practice of architecture.

For some, the five-week intensive course may function as an introduction to design, for others as an introduction to the field, a new method of working, to Columbia University or New York. Since having significant prior experience and education in architecture, I chose to develop additional studio design skills with this studio in preparation for graduate school.
