The Role

We are seeking a highly creative and motivated Social Media Producer to join our dynamic architecture firm. The ideal candidate will be passionate about architecture, design, and storytelling, with a strong grasp of social media platforms and video editing techniques. This position involves producing engaging video content that showcases the firm's projects, behind-the-scenes processes, team culture, and industry insights. You will be responsible for creating visually compelling content and writing social media captions that aligns with our brand's voice and enhances our online presence.

Main Responsibilities

Content Creation and Video Editing

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to conceptualize and create high-quality video content for social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Shoot, edit, and produce short-form and long-form videos (project highlights, behind-the-scenes, time-lapses, and interviews) that align with the firm’s vision and brand
  • Ensure that all video content is engaging, aesthetically pleasing, and maintains a consistent brand tone across all platforms
  • Integrate motion graphics, animations, and sound design to enhance video storytelling

Social Media Management

  • Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns across various platforms
  • Schedule and publish content, ensuring a consistent posting cadence and audience engagement
  • Engage with the online community by responding to comments, messages, and interactions, fostering meaningful relationships with followers
  • Monitor social media trends, best practices, and competitors to optimize content and stay current with new developments in the social media landscape

Content Strategy and Analysis

  • Work with the team to brainstorm and develop new ideas for social media content that will drive engagement and highlight the firm’s unique design philosophy
  • Stay up-to-date on trends to incorporate relevant themes and topics into content
  • Use data-driven insights and social media analytics tools to assess performance, providing feedback on what works and areas for improvement
  • Report on key metrics such as engagement, reach, impressions, and video performance, suggesting adjustments based on data analysis

Collaboration with Team Members

  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and the broader team to ensure content accurately represents projects and company culture
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute creative ideas for broader digital marketing campaigns
  • Maintain organized asset libraries and ensure all content is archived correctly for future use

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in social media content production, including video shooting using DSLR and iPhone cameras; lighting and audio mixing; and audio recording with wired and wireless mics 
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or equivalent tools
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Facebook, and how to optimize content for each
  • Excellent storytelling abilities with a keen eye for visual aesthetics, especially as they relate to architecture and design
  • Graphic design skills (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) are a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics to measure content performance
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and creativity
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Architecture, or a related field is preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in social media production, digital marketing, or video editing, preferably in a creative, design, or architecture-related industry

Compensation

The rate for this position generally is $65,000 - $70,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee’s pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
