LI Architects is a growing, critically acclaimed practice with offices in  New York , Texas and China.

The position we are seeking to fill is in the small New York Office (6 people). Work experience on projects located in the United States is required for this position. To support our schedule, qualified candidates must currently be available for interviews in New York City (interviews may be via video conference).

We seek Architects / Designers with 5 to 10 years of experience to work with senior staff in developing construction documents for cultural, community and residential projects. Candidates must have a sound background working on projects during all phases of development – from concept design through completion of construction. The right candidates may have tremendous growing opportunity including profit sharing and become associates partners, etc

Background shall include projects that are inventive, carefully detailed, with well-integrated building systems. Candidates must have exceptional design and presentation skills. Knowledge of 3D sketch up and be familiar with NYS zoning code and building code is a plus.Bi-lingual is a plus too!

Applicants shall have in depth experience:

• Organizing sets of presentation and construction documents
• Managing consultant team coordination
• Developing Technical Detailing including innovative conditions
• Designing with US Model Building Codes and zoning code
• Implementing sustainability strategies
• Conducting Quality Assurance Reviews of working drawings
• Managing tasks while supervising a project team
• Supporting Innovative Projects requiring Design Collaboration with Construction Trades
• Cultural, Community, or Residential Projects
• ⁠Working with builders during construction / working on built projects during the construction administration phase

Additional Requirements: 

• Proactive mindset toward project realization
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• Fluent or Business Level English Language proficiency.
• Valid United States work permit
• Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture or Engineer
• LEED Accreditation is a plus
• Software Proficiency Requirements: AutoCAD and Rhino proficiency are required. Revit experience is a plus.
