ALIS Architecture is a boutique architecture firm seeking an experienced Architectural Designer to lead the design and development of our projects. We are based on the beautiful Emerald Coast of Florida and engage in work on both East and West coasts, with project types ranging from custom single-family homes to small scale multi-family, planned community developments, and light commercial. Each project has a customized approach to its unique context, as we constantly explore new ideas and strategies to create distinctive architecture.

We are currently seeking an Architectural Designer to add to our growing firm. The ideal candidate will bring curiosity, enthusiasm, creativity, and familiarity with high-end architectural design to the team.

Responsibilities

  • Organization - Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and create a plan of execution for completing deliverables.
  • Design - Passion for creativity and exploring design options through the different stages of the design process.
  • Documentation and Quality Control - Production and management of high-quality drawings and construction documents. Active involvement in construction administration to ensure designs are executed in the field.
  • Coordination - Communication with clients and stakeholders to provide project updates and address any concerns or issues. Coordination with the outside vendors, municipalities, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure the successful approval and completion of projects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in high end architectural design
  • Proven track record of leading multiple built projects through different design stages
  • Strong Proficiency in Revit and understanding how to produce complete permit drawing sets and high-quality models
  • Excellent understanding of residential construction
  • Knowledge of FL and CA building codes
  • Ability to identify potential project roadblocks early on and create strategies to remove them
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

We offer a competitive compensation package, including health insurance and paid time off. Additionally, our firm offers a hybrid work schedule, with the flexibility to work both in-office and remotely, although we are interested in US-based candidates only.
