Young Projects seeks a talented, motivated architectural designer with 10+ years’ experience to work on a variety of interesting and demanding projects located in the NYC region and abroad.
REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of an accredited university with a professional degree in architecture (BArch or MArch)
Minimum of (8) years working in design-driven architectural firms with a focus on high-end single-family residential
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and deadlines
Strong knowledge of detailing, assemblies, and typical construction practices for ground-up, renovation and interior architecture projects
Ability to produce comprehensive, rigorously coordinated construction document sets with minimal oversight, including unusual or atypical custom aspects. This experience will need to be demonstrated through multiple examples. Significant ground-up single-family residential experience is mandatory
Strong organizational skills and drive to see tasks through to completion
Ability to work collaboratively and successfully develop design concepts (both your own and those of other office members)
Experience managing consultants
Experience with building codes and permitting processes, NYC zoning (helpful)
Experience managing junior-level architects and interns
Experience interacting with and managing clients
Full proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, VRay, and Adobe CS is mandatory; proficiency in Revit is a plus
Strong graphic and presentation skills
English fluency and experience writing and editing technical professional text and text for publication
