Project Architect
Lizard Rock Designs is seeking a Project Architect for their growing practice in Tucson, AZ.
This Architect will work directly with the Principal, Project manager and staff architects[SR1] to oversee schedules, staffing, budgets, and key decision making while also leading his/her own projects. This is an incredible opportunity to step into a newly added senior position with a tight-knit, well-respected firm that has some exciting projects in the pipeline!
Who we are looking for:
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture
5-7 years of professional experience
Licensure in the state of Arizona preferred, , additional state licenses is a plus
Proficiency in architectural detailing and an understanding of materials and methods of construction
Demonstrated ability to complete work plans, review with colleagues, and identify questions, open issues, and incomplete areas
Ability to supervise, mentor, and delegate
Excellent client communication and relationship development skills; interested in listening and designing collaboratively in partnership with the client
Experience in developing and monitoring budgets and milestones
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, or other 3D Modeling software; understanding of setting up construction documents in Revit is important
Proficiency in Creative Suites (Photoshop, Acrobat) or Bluebeam
Proficiency in project management software, like Microsoft Project, Asana, or Instagantt is a plus
Self-starter, motivated, collaborative, and able to work independently
Detail oriented, strong communicator with high level verbal and written skills; this person will be working with consultants, vendors, clients, and building officials

The Project Architect will assist with overseeing schedules, budgets and key decision making while taking a lead role in his/her own projects.
