About the Role: 

 METHOD Architects is seeking a skilled and organized Project Job Captain to support our team in delivering high-quality architectural services. Reporting to the Project Manager and Senior Project Designer, the Project Job Captain will oversee essential project functions, guide junior staff, and ensure efficient, accurate project delivery. This role requires a talented individual with a strong background in building envelope systems, weatherproofing, masonry repair, and historic preservation.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough visual inspections of exterior facades, preparing detailed reports such as FISP/LL11.
• Identify and assess deterioration across various facade materials.
• Apply fundamental knowledge of building envelope systems for effective project execution.
• Prepare Field Observation and Conditions Reports, documenting ongoing project construction and repairs.
• Contribute to design development, construction detailing, and construction documentation.
• Coordinate meetings with consultants to ensure cohesive project planning and execution.
• Navigate NYC & NYS Building codes effectively, applying regulations to project specifications.
• Assist in construction administration, respond to RFIs, and maintain organized submittal logs.
• Exhibit dedication, teamwork, and enthusiasm, fostering a collaborative project environment.

 Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or a related design field.
• Minimum 3 years of architectural experience, focusing on exterior facade projects.
• Expertise in developing, communicating, and presenting design concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for graphic presentation.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, and Adobe Creative Suite; Rhino is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to produce field reports.
• Authorized to work in the United States
