The Department of Architecture at the University of New Mexico is currently accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track position to teach Architectural Design at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The position is a 9-month faculty appointment (mid-August to mid-May each academic year) beginning in August of 2025 located in Albuquerque, NM.
The Position:
The Department of Architecture welcomes candidates with expertise in architectural design and new perspectives in teaching the beginning design student. The successful candidate will have the knowledge and experience to teach and coordinate lower division studios. The candidate will also serve on department and school committees and participate in other department, school, and university activities. Our school thrives when our faculty broadens our perspectives and brings new conversations to our community. The successful candidate will demonstrate a track record of excellence in research, scholarship, and/or creative work including research-based architectural practice. Areas of expertise may include representation, visualization, design and design processes, fabrication and investigation of new technologies, or scholarship of teaching and learning.
