Company Overview: Brian Orter Lighting Design, LLC (BOLD) is an innovative architectural lighting design firm located in Chelsea, New York. Our portfolio includes large-scale hospitality projects, commercial ventures, and high-end residential designs.

Position Overview: BOLD is seeking an outgoing and motivated Senior Business Development Coordinator to join our team. This role will be pivotal in driving client outreach and executing strategic marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will excel in establishing and nurturing long-term relationships and networking at industry events. A successful Senior Business Development Coordinator will be a skilled salesperson capable of representing our firm effectively in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Actively network with industry professionals, clients and businesses to enhance our visibility and reputation
  • Drive outreach efforts to prospective clients and projects
  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our work and attract new business opportunities
  • Attend meetings and industry events to connect with potential clients and represent our firm
  • Participate in strategy and planning
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, architects and other stakeholders
  • Continually seek and research new sources of prospective clients while providing recommendations to senior leadership

Qualifications

  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a sales/marketing position; experience with an AEC firm is a plus
  • Experience and/or study in Marketing, English/Literature, Architecture/Lighting Design/Interior Design or a related area
  • Established connections and experience within the interior, architectural, and lighting design fields are highly desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of RFPs/proposals or grant-writing is ideal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher)
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) is a plus
  • Excellent research, copywriting, and organizational skills, with a strong understanding of development projects worldwide
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous deadlines
  • Proficient English speaker with excellent communication skills

Schedule

This is a hybrid position, that includes travel, evening engagements and attendance at national and overseas events.

Salary

A base salary starting at $80,000, plus commission
