Project Architect

REO, an award wining custom residential design studio, seeks a thoughtful and motivated Project Architect to join our growing team.  Our practice is focused on design excellence across a range of styles from traditional to modern.  Applicants at this level should have 5 - 10 years of experience.  A background in high end custom residential architecture is preferred.  

Qualities and Skills

• Bachelor's Degree or Master of Architecture Degree required.
• Experience working concept through construction with a high level of proficiency and attention to detail.
• Comfortable and confident with your ability to put together a coordinated set of drawings.
• Organized with the ability to multi task and potentially work on multiple projects of varying scales, in various phases of development.
• Understanding of Residential Building Codes. 
• Professional Registration or in process of working towards it.

Candidates should be able to communicate effectively and demonstrate leadership abilities while working as part of a team. The ability to think creatively throughout all phases of a project from concept through construction is essential, along with an enthusiasm for design, detail and craft. Proficiency in ArchiCAD and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.  Ability to sketch or otherwise convey concepts or ideas through hand drawing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating on design with the potential to take project lead.
• Develop detailed 3d models and production drawings.
• Be proactive, inquisitive and resourceful.
• Research on materials, finishes, and fixtures.
• Engage with contractor and consultants throughout construction administration phase.
