EXPERIENCED DESIGNER/DESIGN ARCHITECT

ASYMPTOTE is a New York based international design-driven studio dedicated to designing outstanding projects at a variety of scales. We are looking to expand our team with a talented experienced Designer who will contribute their ideas, skills and experience to a wide range of projects. The position requires a self-motivated creative designer who can work effectively within a team environment as well as independently. We are particularly interested in talented designers who are seeking a creative position with opportunity for professional growth.

Position Description:

Experienced Designer to develop architectural designs at the direction of a Project Leader or Principal

Contribute to the development and production of documents, models and images to convey design intent

Coordinate and oversee the preparation of design presentations

Provide leadership to interns and junior designers

Independently coordinate with engineers and consultants

Requirements:

• 3+ years of post-graduate fulltime experience  in a leading design oriented architectural office
• Excellent design skills with experience of concept design through to design development phase
• Proactive with ability to work both independently and collaborate with design team
• Proficiency in Rhino, Autocad, and Adobe Suite is required. Enscape, Revit or Grasshopper are a plus.
• Fluency in written and spoken English, excellent communicator both verbally and graphically
• 3D Modeling skills including digital modeling, 3D printing and physical modeling
• Ability to liaise with engineers, consultants, municipal authorities and other 3rd parties
• Capable of working creatively and productively in a fast paced environment
• Ability to take initiative, prioritize and adapt without compromising project goals
• Strong organizational skills, able to meet deadlines and budget time
• Professional degree in Architecture;  LEED certification an asset
• Authorized to work in the USA
