Hafer is a cutting-edge design firm with four offices in four states and clients spanning multiple industries including healthcare, education, workplace, community, and more. Currently, we’re looking for the right person to add to our kickball team. Actual kickball skills are not required, but we are looking for a Project Architect that is excited to help grow our Owensboro, KY office. The Project Architect role will be integral to the success of our Kentucky location. The right person for this role will have the following:

• Accredited (NAAB) Bachelor and/or Master of Architecture degree
• 5+ years of prior experience working in an architectural firm
• Strong knowledge and skill in conceptualization, schematic design, and design development with experience preparing construction documents (drawings and specifications)
• Ability and willingness to lead a project from start to finish
• Ability to work as part of a team without direct daily supervision
• Strong communication, presentation, communication, and organizational skills
• The people skills to win work and collaborate with success in the office
• Desire for design research to improve your skills
• Great problem-solving skills
• Self-motivation and the ability to work on multiple design projects at one time
• A cup half full
• Proficient knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Desire to participate in business development efforts within the western KY region
• Ability to travel out of town from time to time
• Architectural license in Kentucky – or with the ability to obtain a license
• An understanding that your opportunities are as limitless as your imagination

Bonus points if you have:

• NCARB certified (preferred but not required)
• Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED/WELL AP (desired, but not required)
• A love for snacks and potlucks
