SUMMARY:

The Design Associate will collaborate with the Design Director/Design Project Managers to plan, design, and facilitate the execution of new building designs, expansions or renovations according to clients’ need and desires.  Will use Revit software to create and develop outstanding design from concept through execution on a wide variety of project types and scales.  All work must be completed in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work collaboratively across multiple high-end residential projects at once in support of Design Director/Design Project Managers 

  • Develop detailed sets of scale drawings entirely in Revit and produce accurate documentation as needed in schematic design, design development and construction documentation phases 

  • Coordinate with design team and managers to modify new/existing plans in order to ensure design intent is incorporated into documentation packages

  • Assist design team on permit and construction sets through all four phases of design

  • Help prepare presentation drawings for client meetings and city/planning submittals

  • Pick up redlines with supervision and guidance from Design Director/Design Project Managers

  • Participate in all projects in collaboration with Design Project Managers

  • Support team in client communications and meetings, including note-taking

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2+ years of professional Revit Drafting experience in Revit 2018 or higher with a solid understanding of the Revit workflow.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from NAAB accredited architecture school is a must have

  • Experience with Residential Construction Projects is preferred

  • Experience in Lumion rendering is a plus

  • Experience in Interior Detailing is a plus

  • Excellent communication and people skills

  • Problem solving skills, attention to detail and highly motivated to learn/grow
