MSGS / Carve Architects is hiring for a Junior Architect
MSGS / Carve Architects seeks Architect for our 11-person architecture and design firm in downtown Olympia. Join our passionate team focused on community, sustainability, and design excellence. Ideal candidate has 3-8 years experience, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite skills, and a passion for thoughtful design. Responsibilities for the Junior Architect position include the development of project design and documentation, technical detailing, consultant coordination, preparation of project deliverables, and permit processes, and construction administration under the guidance of a project principal.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this position include:
An accredited professional architecture degree (B. Arch or M. Arch)
Three (3) to Eight (8) years of professional post-graduate architecture firm experience
Architect license or in the process of licensure
Three (3) or more years experience working in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite
Demonstrated experience in documentation, coordination, and delivery of small to mid-size projects from schematic design through construction administration
A passion for community-focused design projects, adaptive reuse, and sustainable design
Ability to prepare and participate in meetings with clients, consultants and team members.
Ability and desire to research, coordinate, and propose solutions to unique and challenging code and jurisdictional requirements.
Able to work on site in Olympia, WA
In addition, candidates should have strong graphic, written, and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively both in teams and independently. Candidates should be self-motivated and be interested to participate in a collaborative and creative studio environment with a culture of learning and excellence.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package for this position that includes:
Annual salary depending on experience and qualifications
Two weeks (10 days) of paid vacation
