Project Manager / Design Manager w/10+ years
THE ROLE
As a Project / Design Manager, it’s your role to lead and deliver a variety of project types and sizes throughout all phases of delivery. You will join a team of Architects, designers and project managers with a long-standing tradition of design excellence and project execution throughout all of the Bay Area.
As a Project / Design Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead all aspects of project delivery while mentoring junior staff and encouraging the highest level of design and project delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage projects from early concept and entitlement phases through final construction administration (dependent on project scope)
- Work directly with Principal leadership to foster a collaborative design and management process
- Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of projects ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget
- Lead and facilitate the overall cross-functional project team
- Prepare, communicate and monitor project work plans, schedules and deliverables for internal teams
- Actively take ownership of all phases of each project to ensure a cohesive and well executed design response

QUALIFICATIONS
- Design Management and Project Management experience required
- 10 - 12 years of professional architecture – planning experience
- A professional degree in Architecture from an accredited US architecture program
- License to practice Architecture or demonstrated progress toward licensure is desired
- Excellent communication, organizational and management skills
- Knowledge and experience in all phases of project delivery
- Experience managing consultant teams and resolving complex technical and design issues
- Self-motivated within a multi-disciplinary team context
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and presentation graphics software (i.e. Sketchup, Photoshop, Illustrator and hand sketching) is required
- Familiarity with state and local building codes
