Project Architect / Draftsperson

An established architectural firm is seeking a highly skilled Project Architect / Draftsperson with a minimum of 7 years of experience in developing construction documents for residential and small commercial projects. A graduate degree in architecture is preferred, but we welcome candidates who can demonstrate extensive knowledge of residential building construction. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.

We are looking for a candidate available for immediate hire who can seamlessly integrate into our team and hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently measure existing site conditions.
• Convert field measurements into precise AutoCAD drawings, ensuring comprehensive documentation of existing conditions.
• Develop detailed construction documents from presentation sketches, including the ability to calculate structural elements using BeamCalc or similar software.
• Create accurate floor plans, building sections, and elevations.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, engineers, and contractors.
• Conduct construction site visits as needed.
• Handle administrative tasks such as emailing, phone correspondence, digital filing, and organizing project files.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of wood frame construction, structural systems, MEPs (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), and building codes.
• High proficiency using Auto Cad
• Ability to manage multiple projects, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Full-time position (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM).
