Iterae is currently searching for a passionate, detail-oriented, and self-motivated person for the role of Job Captain. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of construction documents, and the ability to plan and manage their efforts to produce high-quality work product within an allotted time and budget.   

Iterae is a specialized architectural design practice with a focus on productizing the design, documentation, and delivery of multiple projects in collaboration with our manufacturing partners. Our work includes multi-family, hospitality, campus living, and social housing projects throughout southern California and Arizona. We are a small, agile firm that provides the opportunity for team members to engage in all aspects of a project and fosters rapid professional development

Responsibilities

  • Take direction from and provide support and assistance to Project Managers and Managing Principal.
  • Produce, manage, and coordinate construction documentation sets
  • Complete technical drawings and tasks as directed in a clear and organized manner consistent with office standards
  • Coordinate architectural design and building systems with engineering consultants
  • Produce and develop technical drawings and details with supervision
  • Perform code, and zoning analyses for multiple municipalities and related zoning ordinances
  • Research construction materials and systems
  • General office and project duties as required by the firm and position

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
  • Minimum 3-6 years of Architecture firm experience, preferably in mixed-use and multi-family projects
  • Strong organizational skills: As it relates to communication with other disciplines, team members, and the ability to create and access information within construction documents
  • Must be highly proficient in Revit
  • Working knowledge of Rhino, Bluebeam, Affinity or Adobe, and other related software preferred. 
  • Working knowledge of visual programming using Grasshopper and Dynamo is a plus
  • Los Angeles residency, valid US work status
  • Strong interest in modular construction and pre-fabrication technologies
