The Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning is looking for a director of marketing and communication to increase the impact of Taubman College, grow the number of qualified applicants to our programs, and further establish our position as an institution shaping the future of learning in architecture, urban planning, and urban technology.

Reporting to the assistant dean for advancement (our organizational chart), you will lead the marketing and communications team (5 individuals) and develop strategic plans that integrate marketing, branding, communications, and advertising strategies into a cohesive experience that strengthens our identity. You will serve Taubman College as a master storyteller and brand builder. We are looking for someone who understands the interplay between brand, strategy, operations, and culture to guide long-term goals.

This job is situated in Ann Arbor and on campus work is expected three days a week, with a few fully remote weeks throughout the academic year and a fully remote period from mid-May to mid-August. Participation in “all college” events is required, as well as key events where marketing and communications staff roles are needed. Based on your familiarity with the architecture and urban planning disciplines, additional time working in the office may be required during the initial 90 days so you can learn about the work of our faculty and students to help you be effective in your role.
