Role & Responsibilities:
Architectural Designers are responsible for drafting 3D models, crafting design presentations, and ensuring that design intent are met throughout the Design Development & Construction Document phase of the project. This highly technical role works directly with our Directors on both architecture and interior tasks.
The typical day-to-day responsibilities for our Architectural Designers include:
Drafting 3D models via ArchiCAD & Twinmotion
Understanding & executing Construction Document drawing sets and specifications
Help implement consultant drawings into the Construction Documents
Crafting presentation slides via Illustrator & Photoshop
Sourcing reference images for theme & material presentations
Sourcing, organizing, & photographing physical material samples for client and studio library
Coordination with vendors
Effectively working on multiple projects at once
Understanding DOB requirements
Requirements:
6+ years of experience in a role as Architectural Designer (or similar)
4+ years of experience in wood framed residential construction
4+ years of experience working in ArchiCAD full time
Experience working in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail
Respectful and effective communication skills
Ability to work from our Long Island City studio 3 days/wk (minimum)
Must be legally authorized to work in the US
Highly Desired:
Valid Driver’s License
Strong previous relationships with vendors, trades and consultants
Strong Eye for Photography
Employment Details:
This is a Full-Time position (40 hrs/wk)
Hybrid remote/in-person environment with 3 days/wk in-studio
Typical working hours are 9:00am - 6:00pm, Mon - Fri
Starting Salary Range $70k - $85k
