BCV applies timeless, environmentally sound design to a diversity of scales, from the master planning of large projects to the design of single-family homes and custom furniture.
BCV is opening a position for a Senior Technical Architect with a minimum of 15 years of professional experience to join our firm in San Francisco or New York City. The successful candidate will be a technically proficient architect with strengths in working drawing production, detailing, code knowledge, and staff mentoring. Fluency in Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe CC is required, and extensive technical experience is a high priority.
The Senior Technical Architect assists staff and Project Managers in assuring that the technical content of our designs meet the architectural professional standard of care. The Senior Technical Architect receives requests for advice related to code compliance, coordination with other consultants, constructability, and quality assurance. Requests are received on a varied assortment of ongoing projects in all phases of completion. The Senior Technical Architect also mentors staff in understanding the reasoning behind answers and facilitates their exploration into related standards and concepts.
