Position Overview: As a Senior Portfolio Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple high-impact projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Your extensive experience, exceptional organizational skills, strategic thinking, and ability to lead cross-functional teams will be crucial in achieving project objectives and driving organizational success.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Lead and mentor a team of project managers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategic project plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate with senior-level external contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Oversee the installation process across multiple sites, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and quality checks to ensure projects meet established standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with senior property management teams and Boards of Directors to communicate project updates, timelines, and potential disruptions to stakeholders, minimizing inconvenience.
  • Manage and oversee project budgets, monitor expenses, project cash flow disbursements, and make strategic cost-effective decisions to ensure projects remain within budget.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and completion certificates.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and resolve project-related issues, working closely with stakeholders to develop and implement practical solutions.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and property management staff.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience will be considered). An advanced degree is a plus.
  • Extensive experience as a senior project manager, preferably in a construction or property management setting.
  • Deep knowledge of construction practices, particularly in window replacement projects.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple high-impact projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with experience in managing and developing project management teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact and negotiate with a diverse range of senior stakeholders.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Extensive familiarity with relevant construction codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in advanced project management software, tools, and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently while leading a collaborative team.
  • Proven ability to perform high-quality work with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, and Project Skills.
  • Experience working in companies with a decentralized multi-location operating structure.
