Veronica Barrow Design (VBD) is currently seeking candidates in the Greater Seattle Area for a part-time Architectural Designer / Project Architect (AD/PD) position. Candidates should have a least 7 years of professional architecture experience and have foundational knowledge in moving a project through all phases of the design process. This is a part-time / short-term position with the potential to extend to long-term. This job requires a hybrid work-from-home and in-office work model. Candidates MUST LIVE IN THE GREATER SEATTLE AREA, USA.

About the Role

The role involves architecture modeling, interior detailing, finish material research and sourcing, and drawing set production. The AD/PA will work both collaboratively and independently to plan, coordinate, and document all design phases of the project.

Core Roles and Responsibilities

• Create SD, DD, CD drawing sets
• Prepare design presentation packages
• Source project materials
• Work with material vendors and suppliers
• Coordinate material specifications

About You

• Located within the Greater Seattle Area, Washington, USA.
• Bachelor degree or higher in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience working on low/mid-rise multifamily project
• Knowledgeable in building design and constructability
• Proficient in Revit
• Proficient in Adobe Suite, MS Office, and InDesign software
• Efficient time management skills
• Organization skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
• Ability to express design ideas three-dimensionally and through design narrative
• Ability to conceptualize and execute design ideas from design concept through documentation, specifications and installation
• Experience with FFE design and deliverables
• Strong graphic presentation skills to communicate design ideas
• Willingness and ability to travel locally for project-related responsibilities

VBD is a BIPOC/WOC-owned boutique architecture and interior design studio located in Seattle, WA. Our focus is on private residential and multi-family projects, creating rich contextual spaces. The studio centers around the practice of collaborative design — empowering and amplifying the voices of the whole team.

Our team collaborates both in-office and virtually from home, Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time.
