Vonsaal design build is a design development firm focused primarily on commercial design - wineries, tasting rooms, hotel and luxury residential design. The design team offers services in architecture, interior design,  graphic design, and branding strategy development. Vonsaal encases the design studio offices and a 5000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility, enabling us to produce our designed furniture, fixtures and artwork in house.

The Vonsaal Design offices & Adjunkt galleries are located downtown Napa and St. Helena. The Adjunkt galleries focus on our retail sales of studio artworks, Vonsaal furniture lines, our partnered curated artists works and other items collected by our principal Richard Von Saal. All employees are encouraged to be a hybrid for sales in the gallery experiencing retail merchandising and client/patron communication.

The Designer position offered involves all levels of design production including: Research, ideation, concept strategy, 3D modeling, CAD drafting, production schedule management, vendor communications, and project management. CAD Drafting and the ability to create CD's are a must have to support our studios dynamic. The position will involve shared project management duties with all departments in all levels of assistance with purchasing, liaison between subcontractors, fabrication management, presentations, furniture/fixture shop drawings and fabrication detail communication with the Vonsaal factory.

We are looking for a designer who possesses the passion, skills and determination to establish a long lasting career in our company supporting the principal’s approach to architecture and interior design, and applying their own style pairing with our brand. Our momentum is growing rapidly with various articles in several media outlets and a few new large hospitality, residential, restaurant and winery projects. The Vonsaal studio practices using Sketchup and Enscape for our presentations and conceptional designs. Please note this is a strong requirement of the practices in this position, thank you!

REQUIRED PROFICIENCY:

• Expert on Google SketchUp
• AutoCAD
• Adobe Creative Cloud
• Construction Document Comprehension and Execution
• Furniture, Fixture and Cabinet drafting experience (shop drawings)
• Microsoft Office Suite, Mac OS Platform, Google apps
• Project Management Skills

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA or MA in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design
• Minimum 5 years experience in related position
• Exceptional attention to detail & Cross Referencing
• Flexible: no task too high or low.
• Excellent, professional, oral, & written communication skills.
• Excellent customer relation skills.
• Must have a clean and professional presentation.
