Job Description:  Join our dynamic and internationally acclaimed architectural and development firm based in San Diego, CA, specializing in fast-paced, vertically integrated projects. As a key team member, you'll play a pivotal role in various exciting ventures, including the schematic design of a low-rise apartment building, development of permitting and construction drawings for a 24-story high-rise currently in mid-permitting, crafting a custom waterfront home, and managing other diverse projects in between. Responsibilities encompass a broad spectrum, ranging from design conceptualization and drafting to code research, detailing, collaboration with contractors, permitting facilitation with local municipalities, review of shop drawings, overseeing construction bidding processes, and actively participating in construction management. This opportunity offers a comprehensive architectural experience, allowing you to engage in every aspect from inception to completion. We are seeking a positive and engaging architect or professional with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Your Qualifications:

  • Professional proficiency in ArchiCAD drafting and modeling. (mandatory)
  • 3+ years professional Experience
  • Prior experience in Multifamily Housing projects
  • Basic proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets and Word
  • Thorough understanding of the California Building Code & ADA code
  • Must work from San Diego, California at our studio, no remote working permitted.
  • Personal Time and Task Management Skills
  • Be an approachable and effective communicator
  • Have experience in SD, DD, and CD drawings and processes, particularly in working details and coordination of complex projects

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Permitting applications, redlines, plan corrections, 

  • Coordination with Principle Architect and Consultants

  • Developing full drawing sets, computer models, and construction details under the supervision of a Principal Architect

  • Navigating permitting and code
  • Desire to grow into a project management position and drive to help grow the company
