Architectural Designer (multiple openings) - Responsible for performing various aspects of architectural design as directed by a Project Manager including conceptual studies, program requirements, design analyses, calculations, systems selection, and layout for building design of commercial, educational, institutional, and mixed-use architecture. Duties include preparing programming documents, schematic documents, design development documents, and construction documents as directed using tools including Revit, Photoshop, and Lumion; working within the LEED rating scale to design more energy-efficient buildings; coordinating and communicating with design team members to ensure the architectural design details integrate properly with the work of all other project disciplines; supporting Project Managers and Construction Administration; maintaining project schedules to ensure project milestone dates are met; performing research to ensure compliance with relevant codes and product specifications; preparing presentation materials; complying with quality control policies and procedures; learning and implementing company standards; developing analysis and design skills; participating in team meetings and coordinating efforts with other team members; and working with, responding to, and taking direction from Project Managers, Managing Principals, and client management. Position requires (1) Bachelor’s degree in architecture from a NAAB-accredited program. (2) 24 months of experience as an Architectural Designer, to include experience with commercial, educational, institutional, and mixed-use architecture, as well as the use of Revit, Photoshop, and Lumion. (3) LEED Green Associate. (4) Established NCARB record. (5) Regional travel 1-2 times per month for construction observation
