Our services include, purchasing feasibility, construction documents, schematic and material designs, renderings, construction value engineering, project management, field supervision, mock-up design/fabrication, presentations, close-out.

Every project has a focus on a new material or construction techniques. Our goal is to push the envelope in a new way on each project and this is typically in the form of new materials, custom engineered solutions or complex system design.

Role Description

This is a contract hybrid role located in New York, NY for an Architectural Designer. The Architectural Designer will be responsible for creating architecture and construction drawings, material mood boards and presentations, specification development, client engagement and meetings, architectural design, drawing, construction administration and fabrication oversight. The role is totally hybrid and based on current work and projects. Some weeks will be remote 4 out of 5 days, others will require daily site visits or client/office meetings. This is an exciting and dynamic role requiring both computer focus and field experience.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Architecture, Construction Drawings, and Architectural Design
  • Experience in Drawing, Construction Administration, and Construction/Material Fabrication Oversight
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
  • Minimum 3 years experience in architecture or construction office doing design and construction admin work
  • Experience with relevant software and tools, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong 3D representation skills are important Social Media and Web Design/Management are a plus
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes and regulations with oversight from owner
