Skills + Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of professional experience (preferably in Commercial / Retail)
An architecture degree from an accredited program is preferred
Must be able to manage multiple projects and have strong people, supervision, and leadership skills to guiding office staff members, managing engineering consultants and communicate with contractor during construction phase.
Must have knowledge of current building codes, structural design, building materials, construction costs, methods, contracts, office standards, policies and procedures.
Computer skills should include a proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel, AutoCAD
Self-motivated and organized, with strong graphic and communication skills
Ability to work on multiple tasks/assignments while ensuring a high degree of accuracy
Willingness to perform in all phases and types of projects
Ability to travel and conduct on-site surveys
Ability to engage in productive client and consultant communication
Ability to work on a team
Responsibilities
Possess a positive team oriented working attitude with clients and project team members.
Assign work to project team members, supervise, and provide technical and administrative guidance.
Develop information for project scope of work consistent with design criteria, select materials, and prepare Project Manual.
Experience with: AutoCAD; California Building Codes, ADA and Title 24 Accessibility Requirements, architectural concepts, materials, and construction detailing in regards to contract documents preparation.
Prepare, coordination, and maintain project schedules. Obtain governing agencies approvals.
Preparation and coordination of AutoCAD construction documents: both architectural and engineering (including civil, structural, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, décor, and cooler box design).
Preparation of construction details, coordinating with Project Designer for design continuity and constructability.
Physical surveying of project sites and buildings; some requiring flight travel and/or long distance driving.
