Isaac-Rae is looking for an Intermediate Architect / Project Architect to join our team with the desire to grow with a small studio. We are based on the unique and beautiful North Fork of Long Island. The role is for an experienced, detail-oriented, well-spoken individual who has the ability to work on multiple projects at once producing technical drawings, contributing thoughtful design details and creating client-facing presentations for commercial and residential work on the east end of Long Island.

Requirements:

  • BArch or MArch degree from an accredited university

  • 3+ years experience in project management for residential and commercial architecture

  • Proficiency in Revit required
  • Strong experience with construction documents and details
  • References from other architecture firm(s)

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken

  • Some understanding of local zoning and building codes a plus

  • Exceptional attention to detail as well as organization and time management skills  

  • Experience interacting with clients and organizing projects

  • 3D modeling 3dsmax, Rhino, Sketchup

  • 3D Rendering in 3dsmax Vray3.xx or Corona

  • Strong intrapersonal skills and the ability to work with a close-knit small studio team balanced with the ability to work independently


    Role Details:

    • Organizing multiple projects, including day to day management of clients, contractors and consultants from schematic design through to construction administration.

    • Plan, organize and produce deliverables for each project phase:

      • Schematic Design: Developing conceptual designs, producing models, cad drawings, presentation decks;

      • Design Development: Renderings, models, detailed plans, interior elevations, presentation decks;  

      • Construction Documentation: Detailed plans, elevations, sections & details, final renderings, schedules for plumbing, doors, windows, finishes, etc., updating and adding to project manuals, RFI management of bidding spreadsheets

      • Construction Administration: Ability to support the project in the field during construction, drafting weekly project reports and communicating with the larger team.

    This is a full-time opportunity including benefits. Possibility to work remotely (2) days per week. Your application will ONLY be considered if you are willing and able to travel to work in our studio in Greenport (3) or more days per week.
