EME Consulting Engineering and Architecture Group, LLC (EME) is seeking an intermediate architect with 3–6 years of experience to join our growing architectural team. Projects are primarily in the education and healthcare sectors, consisting of fit-outs and modifications to improve existing buildings.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced senior architects to perform field assessments, develop drawing sets, and coordinate with design and construction teams. Applicant should be a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to working as part of a team—in the office and in the field.

The role provides considerable exposure to clients and requires excellent communication, organizational, design and project management skills.

Qualifications:

• Professional architectural degree from an accredited institution
• 3–6 years of experience in the architecture field
• Experience with developing drawing sets, from SD to CD, and construction administration
• Ability to perform field surveys
• Experience in coordinating with consultants, contractors, and clients
• Experience with rehabilitation or improvement projects of existing buildings and developments.
• Experience with educational projects preferred
• Experience with the SCA, DSF, and DASNY is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple projects with quick turnarounds
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficient in NYC Building Codes and ADA and accessibility design requirements
• Knowledge of sustainability, integrated design, and LEED is a plus
• Knowledge of NYC’s DOB NOW filing process is a plus
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
