Melamed Architect is an Architectural and design practice located in Chelsea specializing in multi-family residential buildings, mixed use, offices and interiors.
We are seeking a talented, and self-motivated individual to join this team.
We offer a hybrid flexible work schedule.
The position involves contributing to the design, document coordination and management of projects from Schematic Design through Construction Administration.
Responsibilities:
Involvement in multiple projects at all project phases.
Develop aspects of schematic and design development documents and manage coordination with project consultants.
Produce construction documentation sets and details in AutoCAD.
Produce 3D images using AutoCAD and Rhino or others
Site surveying.
Participate in team meetings.
Site visits during construction.
Requirements:
3-5 years of full-time professional experience from a NYC or NJ architecture firm.
BArch or MArch from an accredited school.
Ability to work independently on all design phases.
Knowledge of construction methods and materials related to multi-family is a plus.
Knowledge of NYC zoning and NY / NJ building code is a plus.
Experience in Interior Design is a plus.
Experience with façade design and CD's is a plus.
Highly proficient with AutoCAD, Rhino, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, MS Word, and MS Excel.
Strong graphic, written and verbal communication skills.
