Landscape Designer (Intermediate to Senior)

This young company is an architecture design firm that works closely with commercial developers in Los Angeles and is also growing its own development wing. They are entrepreneurial and are strategically growing their firm, including in the creation of a small internal landscape team. This team is looking for a landscape designer to join their team. Your role would be focused on commercial projects, with occasional assistance on high-end residential projects. The projects vary from 55k SF commercial campuses (master planning) to 30k SF custom luxury homes. You will be working closely with both architects and other landscape designers, giving you a unique perspective in viewing landscape through the lens of architecture. There are many opportunities to learn and grow!

Note: Applicants with Revit experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with licensed landscape architect and architecture team on all phases of design to produce digital drawings, construction sets, presentation materials

  • Produce 2D and 3D drawings for client presentations 
  • Produce Construction Documents
  • Coordinate with external consultants (including Civil, MEP, and Structural engineers)

  • Coordinate with vendors for material samples

Requirements:

  • A degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution (Certificate, Bachelor's or Master's)

  • 3+ Years of experience in landscape design

  • Experience in drafting Construction Documents and Permit Sets

  • Familiarity with planting and hardscape design

  • Excellent in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp

  • Revit proficiency preferred but not required

  • Ability to make compelling digital sketches and renderings

  • Exceptional organization and project management skills including scheduling, client communication, consultant coordination and internal team management

  • The ability to multi-task and to manage multiple projects.
