OCA is looking for a self-motivated Associate Architect with 3-6 years of experience. Architectural Associate will work from the designs of others under supervision and perform routine architectural assignments using prescribed methods. This position is a hands-on, in-office position.
Duties
Provides technical expertise for assigned tasks or projects.
Performs design services and calculations to determine sizes, details of structures, equipment components, and systems.
Performs site surveys and investigations of existing facilities and conditions and verifies the validity of existing documents.
Provides on-site and office technical assistance during construction to resolve field problems in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or degree in Architecture or a related field
Must have 3-6 years of experience in design and construction document preparation.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, and REVIT is a MUST.
Rendering software (Lumion, Escape, SketchUp, Photoshop, etc.) is a plus.
Ability to follow OCA Drawing Standards
Knowledge of National, State and Local Codes is a plus
Self-motivated, organized, and flexible
Strong design sensibility
Strong communication and presentation abilities
Willingness to learn and take directions from senior staff
Must be authorized to work in the U.S without visa restrictions
