OCA is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Project Manager with 12+ years of experience managing complex architectural design projects and leading teams through technical documentation and construction. The Senior Project Manager will lead design and construction document preparation within a variety of project teams. This position is a hands-on, in-office position requiring overseeing daily activities on assigned Projects.
Duties
Sets the direction for the execution of project goals and objectives with project teams and client groups
Understands the overall design process and leads the project team to develop and document design concepts
Resolves complex technical and design issues with team to produce innovative technical solutions
Manages client expectations, team communication, and oversight of consultant coordination
Serves as the primary client and consultant liaison to complete projects on schedule, within budget, and with maximum client satisfaction
Manages multiple aspects of client, team, and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with consultants
Develops presentation documents utilizing design training and participates in design presentations to Clients
Reviews drawings for technical adequacy, constructability, and OCA quality standards
Provides mentorship, motivation, and oversight of the work of junior staff
Actively manages project budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field
Registered Licensed Architect in the State of New Jersey, New York or working towards Licensure
Must have 12+ years of experience in design and construction document preparation across a variety of building types.
Advanced knowledge of architectural design documentation, detailing, building materials and codes, construction techniques, as well as building material compatibility and characteristics
Experience managing concurrent projects in various stages of development
Excellent client relationship management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and Bluebeam
Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
LEED accreditation is a plus but not required.
Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
Self-motivated, organized, and flexible
Strong design sensibility
Willingness to learn and take directions from senior staff
Must be authorized to work in the U.S without visa restrictions
