CALL FOR APPLICANTS: INTERMEDIATE DESIGNER
JSA/MIXdesign, an award-winning studio composed of two branches--an architecture studio and an inclusive design consultancy--is looking to hire a talented Intermediate Designer interested in working on projects that promote social justice, health and well-being by meeting the intersecting needs of people of different ages, disabilities, genders, races and religions.
The candidate will work for both branches of our office on institutional projects (higher education and arts) that use participatory design engagement tools (literature reviews, surveys, interviews and workshops) to gather data that draws from the lived experience of stakeholders and users that inform the design process.
We are looking for well-rounded candidates with strong research, writing, design and representational skills who possess extroverted personalities that will allow them to engage directly with clients and users in presentations, meetings and workshops. This versatile person will work under the supervision of Principal Joel Sanders and JSA/MIXdesign Associates on all project phases including participatory design research and analysis, concept design, schematics, design
development and construction documents.
Skills & Requirements:
Salary range: $63,000 – $75,000, based on experience.
