Basic Duties

Information Technology Department

  • Oversee and hold ultimate responsibility for the firm’s information technology through hardware, software, and workflow lifecycles.
  • Research and evaluate new systems, applications, and hardware; assess fitness of current systems.
  • Oversee and participate in hardware and software support, deployments, onboarding, maintenance, troubleshooting, and sunsetting.
  • Provide software training.
  • Supervise and mentor System Administrator, provide IT quality control.
  • Generate standards for documents, data storage, file systems, and communications.
  • Create and maintain documentation of procedures.
  • Maintain hardware and software inventory.
  • Manage software licensing and user accounts.
  • Provide backup front-line IT support as required.
  • Manage vendor relationships; negotiate purchasing and leasing.
  • Create and allocate an annual IT budget across the organization.
  • Assess security risks.
  • Manage the work of external vendors, including network/security/infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with the BIM manager.
  • Oversee hybrid work technology, virtual conferencing, audio-visual hardware and software.

Accounting/Enterprise Resource Planning

  • Administer Deltek Vantagepoint cloud-based ERP database.
  • Respond to and resolve trouble tickets, working with Deltek’s support department.
  • Analyze and improve existing CRM/Accounting/Financial reporting systems.
  • Create new financial reports/dashboards in collaboration with the Financial Controller and other members of the management team.

Workflow / Business Analysis / Document and File Management

  • Meet and collaborate with key stakeholder groups and individuals to assess workflow and systems needs.
  • Maintain business documents and communication standards.
  • Document procedures, maintain online handbooks.



  • 7-10 years of experience with leading and managing an IT department, preferably at an architectural or similar professional service firm.
  • Experience with and willingness to execute front-line IT support, and to prioritize emergencies.
  • Experience leading, managing, and supporting technology projects.
  • Ability and experience to build and manage relationships.
  • Strong verbal, reading, and written communication skills, and proven experience creating documentation and project plans.
  • Experience with speaking to groups, developing training materials, conducting training in large groups, small groups, and one-to-one.
  • Ability to understand business and workflow problems and how to address them by the application of technology.
  • Ability to think and act holistically with regard to the needs of the firm, as well as the needs of constituent staff and management groups.
  • Experience in managing external consultants and vendors.
  • Ability to continuously learn new software.
  • Willingness to be onsite 60%.


  • Google Workspace management
  • Knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint or other CRM / ERP packages
  • Familiarity with Autodesk software including Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM Collaborate
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu
