About the position:

Working with Project Managers and the Principal:

  • Exposure to all aspects of residential architecture including design presentations and client meetings.
  • Participate in planning, design, construction documents, coordination of projects and provide full support through Construction Administration.
  • May lead compilation of design studies and other graphics/3D modeling efforts to support the project manager and/or principal.
  • Liaise with design staff and coordinate between consultants involved on project including civil, landscape architect, structural, MEP, envelope, and lighting.
  • Responsible for specific technical design aspects of projects, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions that best meet the client’s needs.

Revit Management:

  • The Revit Manager’s role is to understand and communicate how Revit will affect project workflows, deliverables, and project management throughout JNA.
  • Manage and coordinate Revit standards development, implementation, and enforcement on all related Revit projects, files and models. This will include the development of a work plan for the development, implementation, and quality assurance checks needed for full Revit integration with JNA projects.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing Revit workflow and driving standard usage of Revit within and outside the firm.
  • Oversee the use of Revit software firm-wide, including installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting all Revit installations as well as analyzing and solving Revit user issues.
  • Provide end-user training, support, and leadership.
  • Support each project team by (1) managing and creating content library files and templates, (2) creating and enforcing standards, and (3) evaluating project models.
  • Support project start-up coordination, helping teams develop strategies for effective delivery of quality documents, and set-up each project, thereby ensuring that each one is set up correctly.
  • Professional degree in architecture (Master’s preferred)

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience
  • High-end, wood-frame construction experience
  • Single-family, residential design experience with $1M-$10M homes (preferred)
  • Proficiency in these applications: Revit, Dynamo, AutoCAD, Rhino, 3D Studio Max, Enscape 3D, 3DS Max, Adobe Photoshop, Bluebeam

  • Understanding of architectural assemblies and wood construction details
  • Knowledge of permitting process and residential building codes
  • Personal motivation and collaborative spirit

  • Enjoy interfacing with clients and have strong communication skills
